NaArMaMo 2008: Completion Poster

This is my completion poster for (Inter)National Art Making Month 2008, in which you create a new piece of art every day in August.

For 2008's NaArMaMo, I decided to draw 26 full colour alphabetical pieces of Doctor Who new series fan art. I didn't quite meet my own personal challenge of drawing these in the first 26 days, but I coloured the two lines-only pieces on the later days and also drew the Doctor Who logo, a Doctor Who 1 hour alphabet and a winning certificate on the psychic paper. If I hadn't had to colour two pieces on later days I'd have also drawn the word 'Alphabet' with each letter in the style of the character starting with that letter.

All the work shown was completed during August. Most pieces were completed on their day. The Dalek Emperor was worked on over 4 days and Hybrid Sec over 2. Some other pieces were slightly re-touched the morning after.

Statistics:

Total time spent: 129 hours, not including cropping, uploading, posting and describing the images.

Average time spent drawing per day: 4 hours 10 minutes.

Busiest day: 7 hours 15 minutes on day 27, the colours for the Dalek Emperor.

Quickest day: 1 hour on day 28, the 1 hour alphabet.
