NaArMaMo 2008, Day 23: The Werewolf
Doctor Who fan art the Werewolf, as seen in the series 2 episode Tooth And Claw. This is my twenty-third piece for this year's (Inter)National Art Making Month, in which you create a new piece of art every day in August. This was drawn on a tablet PC using the airbrush tool only. Total time spent was about 5 hours. This was a bit of an odd one, as I tried a different method of drawing this from my normal airbrush pieces, rather than layering in dark parts then adding lighter highlights, I drew in rough areas of colour and gradually added more detail across the entire piece. The end result was that it was recognisably the Werewolf after an hour, but somehow I ended up tweaking and tweaking this until suddenly I realised it was 4.30am and quickly moved onto the moon. I must admit that it's occasionally a bit daunting, especially on a day like this when I lost most of the day to having my linux server compromised by an ssh worm, I've only just found source images and I'm about to go out and see a film...
